I am a New Zealander who has lived in Japan for four years. In addition to Japan I have lived in Fiji, Australia, and China.
My career started in hotels, and I moved onto working at Sky City Casino in Auckland for five years. Following that I worked in hotel management in China for a year and a half, then came back to New Zealand and completed my university studies at Auckland University of Technology, then University of Auckland.
After graduating I spent two years gaining my teaching license, then moved to Japan.
I spent one year in Tochigi working as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT), one year in Yamagata doing the same, and two years in Sapporo so far. In Sapporo I work for an English school, and have a number of private students.
My first qualification was a Bachelor of International Hospitality Management. I then went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary).
After arriving in Japan I completed a 250-hr Diploma in TESOL through Ontesol from Canada.
